Alpine Township is a local government located in the county of Kent in the state of Michigan in the United States of America.
Alpine Township is situated northwest of Grand Rapids. M-37, a north-south expressway in Michigan, passes through the eastern part of Alpine Township.
Sparta Township is to the north, the city of Walker is to the south, Plainfield Charter Township is to the east, and Wright Township in the county of Ottawa is to the west of Alpine Township. The township is 36 square miles (93 km2) in terms of area, as none of the primary township land has been occupied by other cities.
In 1979, Alpine Township became a local government; however, Alpine Township restored its common law position and was de-chartered. The unincorporated city of Alpine is situated within the municipality at 43?04'22"N 85?41'06"W. The township is centred in the region of a large area on the M-37 route.

The racial composition of Alpine Township was 89.55% White, 1.51% Asian, 3.11% African American, 0.77% Native American, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 2.17% from two or more races, and 2.85% from other races. Hispanic of any race made up 6.55% of the total population.
Out of the 5,550 households, 31.5% had kids below 18 years of age, 46.5% were married couples, 11.1% had a female head of household, and 37.5% had non- family members.
