Snellville is a city in the county of Gwinnett, Georgia, USA. Its residential and commercial development has developed extremely in the recent years. The city is known for its slogan sign, 'Everybody's Somebody In Snellville'.

In 1923, the city of Snellville obtained their agreement from the General Assembly of the State of Georgia. Gladston Snell was the first mayor of the city, and Byron Whitworth was the first police officer in the city. The city was reorganised in 1940. Its city limits were expanded to a 1.

6 kilometre (or 1-mile) radius from the centre of the city.

Geographically, the city of Snellville is located at 33?51'30"N 84?0'23"W. According to the US Census Bureau, the total area of the city is 9.7 square miles (or 25.1 square kilometre), of which 9.7 square miles (or 25.0 square kilometre) of the total area is covered by land and 0.04 square miles (or 0.1 square kilometre) is covered by water.

According to the K?ppen classification, one of the most widely-used climate classification systems, the Snellville's climate is humid subtropical, with generally wet, humid summers, hot, and mild winters. The city's actual temperatures during summers are about 90 ?F (32 ?C) in late July. Temperatures seldom reach 100 ?F (38 ?C). On 13th and 17th of July 1980, the city has recorded the highest temperature of 105 ?F (40.6 ?C).

In the 2000 census report, Snellville had a total population of 15, 351, with 4,315 families and 5,256 households. It had a population density of 1,589.1 per square mile (or 613.6 per square kilometre). A total of 5,391 housing units were noted at an average density of 558.1 per square miles (or 215.5 per square kilometre). The racial make-up of the city was composed of 5.39% African Americans, 89.64% Caucasians, 2.03% Asians, 0.25% Native Americans, 0.02% Pacific Islanders, 1.09% from two or more races, 1.58% from other races, and 4.09% Latinos.

Of its 5,256 households, 38.2% had children below 18 years of age, 70.3% were married couples, 9.0% had females head of the household, 17.9% were non-family members, 15.0% were composed of individuals and 7.2% had someone who was living alone 65 years and older. The city's average size of family was 3.18 and the average size of household was 2.87

The age distributions of the city were as follows: 7.3% were aged 18-24, 27.4% were aged 25-44, 26.5% were aged 45-64, and 12.3% were aged 65 years old and above. The median age in the city was 39 years old. According to the census report, there were 91.5 males for every 100 females and 89.2 males for every 100 females for those aged 18 and above.

The average household income was $67,715 and the average family income was $74,077. The average income of males was $50,861 and the average income of females was $31,972. The city's per capita income was $25,992. There were about 3.0% of the city's population and 2.1% of the all families who were classified under the poverty level, of which 5.0% of those were aged 65 and older and 3.3% were aged below 18 years old.
